Prayer Shawl Ministry
The Prayer Shawl Ministry was conceived in 1968 by two women graduates of the 1997 Women’s Leadership Institute in Hartford, Connecticut. The love of knitting/crocheting has been combined into a prayerful ministry and spiritual practice. It reaches out to those in need of comfort and solace, as well as for celebration and joy.
Whether you have put your knitting aside for years or decades you can now pick it up again and join a group of wonderfully caring ladies. We click our needles while sharing anything that comes to mind. We suggest that you provide your own yarn. Prayer shawls are given away and are offered to those visiting the Healing Mission.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets every Tuesday, 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm in the Library.
